Winners (Hyderabad) - Wonderla Holidays Announced Winners of Environment and Energy Conservation Awards 2018
Hyderabad: February 22nd 2019:
This second consecutive year of "Wonderla Environment & Energy Conservation Awards” contest and received remarkable participation of 150 schools from Telangana, AP & North Karnataka. The shortlisting of nominations was based on a complete audit of the schools’ overall environmental practices carried out by its management and students. Wonderla has been ISO 14001 certified for being environment-friendly and conserving natural resources and has taken up several ‘Go Green’ and ‘Save Nature’ initiatives in support of the green movement.
Mr. Madhusudhan Gutta, Park Head - Wonderla Hyderabad while delivering the vote of thanks added,
"We are very pleased with the responses we have received and would like to congratulate all the winners. I also thank each participating school who came forward and took part in this noble initiative."

Winners (Bengaluru) - Wonderla Environment and Energy Conservation Awards 2018 Presented
Wonderla Holidays announced the winners of “Wonderla Environment & Energy Conservation Awards – 2018” for schools across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu who have adopted innovative ways to conserve natural resources on Feb 16th 2018.. The evening started with a cultural program followed by the award distribution ceremony held at the Wonderla Park, Bengaluru. Ms.Roshmitha Harimurthy - Miss Universe India 2016 presented the awards to the winners in the presence of Mr. George Joseph, Joint Managing Director of Wonderla Holidays, Mr.Rajagopalan V, Advisor of Wonderla Holidays, Mr.Sivadas, President of Wonderla Holidays, Mr. Rudreesh Business Development Head of Wonderla Holidays and Park Head Mr. Mahesh MB.
The 1st prize winner Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Hosur was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50, 000/-. The 2nd prize was shared by Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva School, Alike (Dakshina Kannada) and Delhi Public School, Sathanur Village, Bengaluru with each being given a cash award of Rs, 25,000/-. The 3rd prize was shared between 3 schools-Anmol Public School, Davanagere, Govt. High School, Gojanur, Gadag and Christ School, Dharmaram College PO, Bengaluru with each school being given a cash award of Rs. 15000/-.
Apart from the cash prize, the winners were also awarded with a ‘Trophy’ and ‘Certificate of Appreciation’. In addition, Wonderla also gave away special recognition awards to 30 other schools across Karnataka.

Winners (Kochi) - Wonderla Environment and Energy Conservation Awards 2018 Presented
Environment and Energy conservation Awards instituted by Wonderla Holidays for schools in Kerala and Tamil Nadu were presented to the winners by renowned film actor Shri. Kalabhavan Shajon, at the function held in Wonderla Kochi on Wednesday, 5th February 2019.
The first prize winner Viswadeepthi CMI Public School, Adimali, Idukki was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50000. Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Metric HSS, Erode and Paramekkavu Vidya Mandir, Thrissur shared the second position and were awarded Rs. 25000 each. A cash prize of Rs.15000 was awarded to M.A.M LPS, Panavally (Alappuzha), Holy Cross Convent School, Kangarapady (Ernakulam) and KVUPS, Pangode (Thiruvananthapuram) who shared the third position. Apart from the cash prize, the winners were also awarded with a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.
The function was presided over by Wonderla Holidays Founder Shri. Kochouseph Chittilappilly. The keynote address was delivered by Shri. Kalabhavan Shajon. Wonderla Kochi Park Head, Shri. Ravikumar M. A welcomed the guests and DGM Engineering, Shri. Vinny K Thudiyan delivered vote of thanks. While addressing the students, Shri. Kalabhavan Shajon stated that the award distributed to the schools will help in building awareness among the students on the importance of protecting and conserving nature. He also wished the students, the future generation to be better nature lovers. Prominent environmentalist and National Teachers Award winner Shri. T. M. Varghese talked about the importance of conservation of environment.
